Paragraph 2

Benjamin has been purposely made to not care and not share his knowledge to make a scene stand out. Throughout the book the author constantly mentions how benjamin understands how to read and write and how the farm works but he does not wish to share it. This then shows that benjamin is an old wise donkey that thinks that nothing will happen if he does share his knowledge so he then stays out of the meetings and does not bother to be enthusiastic or anything like that. The author purposely makes benjaman act this way so that they can make this sudden change in behavior of benjamin really stand out and become as a shock to viewers to make the book more interesting. Authors of other books round the world often do this with different kinds of characters to shock the reader and leave the readers asking questions so that that read on and enjoy the book.

There are some really good ideas in this paragraph. Good job Ewan. Just remember to add specific examples. You need to have a quote from the novel to back up your point and when connecting it to the wider world make it more specific rather than just a general statement. Find examples of what fits with what you are saying. Very good start.
