Benjamins behaviour changed dramatically when his friend boxer was faced with danger. You can see he changes because of the way he acts Throughout the whole novel compared to how he reacts when boxer is being taken away to die. Benjamin suddenly changes his whole mood from being someone who doesn’t bother helping or getting involved to someone who’s right in there trying to do anything he can to save boxer. This is shown when he is running around screaming for help being enthusiastic. He also begins a chant with the rest of the other animals yelling “get out boxer!” which is very unlike benjamin. The author is trying to show that benjamin has feelings and when people in real life are faced with certain challenges in life you can see them change dramatically and react in a completely different way from you would think. This then relates to the real world of people in our society and how different kinds of people can change in different ways considering the situation they’re in. In this novel it is how Benjamin changes from being lazy and quiet to being enthusiastic and caring about what he’s doing.

Add Yours →Really good work Ewan. Remember to create a specific link to the outside world. It does not need to be a real person or event, you can connect to another novel or a film, so long as the connection makes sense with the point you are discussing. Good strong start.
